Looking for a hand-painted pet portrait in Newcastle? A favourite photograph can become an original watercolour that captures the animal you know: the watchful cat, the dog who never sits still, or the horse whose presence fills every memory. I paint from your own photo so the artwork is personal to you, not a generic animal picture.
Start with the character you want to remember
The best portrait photo is not always the most formal one. A cat’s curious expression or familiar resting pose may say more than a perfectly composed picture. Choose an image that makes you say, “That’s them.”
Some favourite moments are quieter still. I can work from a clear photograph that shows the markings and personality you want to keep close.
A gift for the person and the pet
A custom portrait can make a birthday, Christmas or anniversary gift feel genuinely considered. For a horse lover, it can celebrate the bond between rider and horse; for someone remembering a companion, it can hold onto a particular expression or moment without needing many words.
Dogs have their own way of being themselves
One dog might greet you with bright eyes, another may be happiest resting beside you. A hand-painted portrait lets you choose the moment that feels most like your dog, whether it is a gift for a loved one or a keepsake for your own home.
A relaxed pose can be just as distinctive as a lively one, especially when it is the way you always remember them.
